We’re here for our neighbors.

Renters are neighbors, too.

Ransom Place Neighborhood Association is not a homeowner’s association. We’re here for the residents of California, Camp, Paca, 9th, 10th, MLK, and St. Clair Place. Even if you’re just here for a semester, you matter to us. We want to foster strong relationships, even when our time together is short.

We hold landlords accountable around here.

Our goal is that Ransom Place is a great place to live for everyone who calls it home. As an association, we work to make sure all our neighbors know their rights and responsibilities. We’ve got some great landlords here, who respond quickly when issues arise, care for their tenants, and participate in clean-up days. We also have some landlords who need a reminder that this is a special place that deserves respect, and that they must consider the community as well as their own bottom line.

Mediation

Need help talking it through?

For many landlord problems, you're better off trying to resolve disputes directly with your landlord, rather than taking the issue to a lawyer's office or small claims court. But if relations are so strained communication seems impossible, consider mediation by a neutral, third-party mediator.

A mediation session typically lasts about 45 minutes, and allows both sides to lower emotional levels and communicate more clearly.
